Ordering repeat prescriptions

You can order your repeat prescription via any of the following methods:

Please note: We are unable to accept prescription requests via surgery telephone or at reception

Collecting your prescription

Information:

Prescription requests can take up to 5 full working days to process before it is sent to your pharmacy for dispensing.

Please order your prescription early enough to allow time for processing. We ask that patients reorder when you have 7 days of medication remaining.

Please only contact the surgery if 5 full working days have passed and your medication is still not ready at the pharmacy.

You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:

  • on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
  • at any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions

Aligning your medication

Do your medications run out at different times throughout the month? To make managing them easier, you may benefit from a medication alignment.

Next time you order your medication, please use the link Medication Alignment Request form to let us know the remaining quantities of all your medications. We will adjust your prescription so that moving forward, all your regular repeat items can be ordered together.

Questions about your prescription

If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer these. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.

The NHS website has information on how your medicine works, how and when to take it, possible side effects and answers to your common questions.
